Lead Psychologist | Multidisciplinary Private Practice | Leadership Pathway

4 Healthcare Recruitment has partnered with a growing multidisciplinary private practice offering speech pathology, psychology and occupational therapy services. This is an opportunity for an experienced psychologist to step into a lead role, shaping clinical practice and building a team, while providing assessment and intervention for children with a variety of presentations.

The role This clinician led practice is seeking an experienced and switched on Lead Psychologist to help shape the future of their psychology team. This is a genuine leadership opportunity: alongside your own caseload of assessment and intervention work, you will take ownership of the clinical direction of the psychology service and grow into a position leading a team of psychologists as the practice expands.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical leadership and development of the small psychology team
  • Supervision and mentoring of junior/provisional psychologists
  • Clinical education and training
  • Recruitment of new psychology staff
  • Assessment and intervention with your own paediatric caseload

You will be confident engaging with children and their families to deliver best outcomes, while also being a trusted point of reference for less experienced clinicians within the team.

About you:

  • Full registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a fully registered psychologist
  • Experience working with children with ASD, with the ability to perform ADOS highly desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership capability or strong leadership aspirations, with a genuine desire to build and lead a team over time
  • Confidence taking on non-counselling responsibilities such as supervision, clinical education and recruitment
  • An ambitious, values-driven team player who wants to shape the direction of a growing clinical service
