About the role
On behalf of our client, a provider of allied health services for children, 4 Healthcare Recruitment is seeking Behaviour Therapists to join a multidisciplinary team, with opportunities across Melbourne’s north and west.
You will deliver evidence-based behavioural interventions to children and young people with developmental delays, autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities and other support needs.
What you’ll be doing
- Assess behaviours of concern and develop individualised behaviour support plans
- Implement strategies that build communication, emotional regulation, independence and participation
- Work with participants, families, schools and allied health professionals to embed strategies across settings
- Train and coach families, carers and educators
- Monitor and review outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed
- Maintain clinical records and meet NDIS reporting requirements
What we’re looking for
- Current Behaviour Support Practitioner ID (NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission), essential
- Provisional and registered psychologists welcome to apply
- Experience with children and young people with developmental delays, autism, ADHD or intellectual disabilities highly regarded
- Strong understanding of positive behaviour support and person-centred practice
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
