4 Healthcare Recruitment are excited to partner with a leading catholic school in Melbourne’s west, for the recruitment of a Student Wellbeing Lead | Social Worker or Counsellor

The opportunity:
An opportunity exists for a wellbeing professional to take on a leadership position, where you will drive wellbeing outcomes for excellence in education and self. This newly created position will support the school and it’s students in their vision for wellbeing for 2026 and beyond. This is a hands on role, where 2 days will not look the same. You will be front facing, working with students, education staff and the leadership team. You will thrive in a fast paced environment, where you will be managing multiple stakeholders, provide short term counselling services to students, work with teachers and support staff to increase their capacity to support students in the classroom, and be a familiar face for families.
- Full time, ongoing position (time frame negotiable to 0.8)
- Term time only position (Category B)
- POL allowance
About you:
Ideally you will have had experience working within a school setting – though this is preferred and not essential. You will be both a team player but also enjoy working proactively and independently. Your expertise in best wellbeing practises for adolescents will guide you to create and deliver wellbeing programs across the school.
You will have:
- A qualification in Social Work or Counselling (other allied health disciplines may be considered)
- Experience working with young people in a mental health capacity
- Full time availability preferred (0.8 will be considered)
- 3+ years experience, and a confidence to own this role
- Strong stakeholder management experience, internal and external
- Working with children’s check (or willingness to obtain)
